Is this a degree program?
No. NordLink offers a preparatory course focused on Finnish language, culture, and school application support. It does not lead to a formal degree but prepares students for admission to degree programs in Finland.
Can you guarantee that I will get accepted to a school in Finland?
No school can guarantee admission. However, students who complete our program, pass the YKI test, and perform well in entrance exams have a very high success rate—up to 99% compared to independent applicants.
Do I need a student visa before coming to Finland?
No. Students first travel to Finland with a short-term or “other ground” visa. The actual student visa (residence permit) is only granted after receiving admission to a degree-awarding institution.
What is the YKI test?
The YKI (National Certificate of Language Proficiency) is an official Finnish language exam. Most vocational and higher education programs in Finland require a minimum intermediate level (B1/B2) for admission.
Where can I apply after completing this program?
You are free to apply to any vocational school or university in Finland. We help you identify the best options based on your interests and academic background.
Do you provide accommodation?
Yes, we assist with accommodation arrangements in Phnom Penh during your studies here. Accommodation in Finland is arranged independently, though we offer guidance.
Is this program recognized by Finnish authorities?
Yes. Our partner schools in Finland are fully authorized to accept non-EU students. While NordLink does not issue qualifications, we work directly with institutions that do.
